Terms of Use — Kharchy

1. Agreement

By installing or using Kharchy (“the app”) you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

The app is provided by Kharchy (“we”, “us”).

2. What Kharchy is — and what it is not

Kharchy is a personal record-keeping tool. You enter your own financial information and the app organises, summarises and charts it.

Kharchy is not:

• a bank, e-money institution or payment service
• a lender, broker or investment platform
• a tax, accounting, legal or financial adviser

It does not connect to your bank, does not move or hold money, and does not execute any transaction. Every figure it displays is one you entered or one calculated from what you entered. Nothing in the app is financial advice. Decisions you make using it are your own.

3. Your account and your data

There is no Kharchy account to create. Your data is stored on your device.

You are responsible for:

• the accuracy of everything you enter — entries, balances, recurring schedules, budgets and goals
• keeping your own backups. Because the data lives only on your device, losing, resetting, or replacing the device loses the data with it unless you have exported a backup first. Export from Backup & sync before changing devices.
• the security of your device, and of any Google account you connect

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the app for any unlawful purpose, including recording or organising the proceeds of crime
• reverse engineer, decompile or tamper with the app except where that right cannot lawfully be restricted
• attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to any service the app connects to

5. Third-party services

Google Drive backup and Google Sheets export are optional and depend on your own Google account. Your use of those services is governed by Google’s Terms of Service. We are not responsible for their availability, or for files once they are in your Drive.

6. Intellectual property

The app, its name, its icon and its design are owned by us and licensed to you for personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable use. The financial data you enter remains entirely yours; we claim no rights over it and hold no copy of it.

7. Availability and changes

Everything except Google Drive backup, Sheets export and store links works offline. Those features depend on Google and your network connection and may fail or change for reasons outside our control.

We may update, change or discontinue features. Where a change removes something material we will note it in the release notes.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that calculations, summaries or forecasts it produces are free of error. Verify anything you rely on against your own bank and financial records.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any right you have as a consumer that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profit, revenue or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the app — including loss of data resulting from device loss, device failure, uninstalling the app, or use of Clear all data or Delete account.

Because Kharchy is supplied free of charge, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the app — which is nil. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

10. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. You may erase your data at any time from More → Danger zone — immediately with Clear all data, or after a cancellable seven-day period with Delete account.

We may terminate this licence if you materially breach these terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Navsari, Gujarat will have exclusive jurisdiction.

12. Changes to these terms

If these terms change we will update the date at the top and post the revised version at this URL. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the revised terms.
